We had an asbestos survey done recently on some asbestos we found in the roof of our offices. The surveyor was shocked because the renovations we were having done had disturbed the asbestos (which was fitted in the 1930s) and he said this could have the whole place closed down by the HSE immediately. Our landlord was completely disinterested which made us very angry, especially as he seemed to have no interest in the health and safety of our employees. We had no choice but to leave the building as fast as possible, and take temporary accommodation in serviced offices.
